Sawyer's Five Months Old!

It's true!  Five months ago yesterday we welcomed Mr. Sawyer into our hearts and our lives!

What has he been up to?

- Cooing and Chatting -

- Rolling from his back to his front on occasion now, front to back, and moving ALL AROUND his play mat.  We often find him a couple feet away! -

- Napping three times a day; morning, afternoon and a cat nap in the evening.  He usually fights me on at least one of these naps, but he clearly needs them and is becoming more routine with it all! -

- Goes to bed when Moose goes to bed and is starting to settle back into waking once a night.  Since he was sick it was 1-3 times, which was just ridiculous!  I welcome my Sawyer nights back! -

- Really has the sweetest little face and smile.  There is something so gentle and soft about him. -

- LOVES his big brother.  Will find Jackson in the room and just watch him and smile -

- Enjoys his bath time -

- LOVES to chew on things.  He is quite the gnawer lately. -

- We believe he actually cut his top right front tooth about a week ago, but it's since popped back inside.  He was definitely acting like he was teething and it definitely looked and felt like a tooth! -

- Is in 6-12 month clothing comfortably. -

- Wears size 3 diapers already -

- He is in his big boy car seat facing backwards -

- LOVES the jolly jumper and the walker (well, having Moose push him around in the walker!) -

- Loves to stand. -

- Has added cereal to his diet, but so far we have been fairly inconsistent with it!  We follow his lead.  Some days he loves it others he could care less! -

- Loves watching Elmo with his brother.  I have no idea what it is about that red guy - but Sawyer smiles HUGE when he sees him!  Maybe it's the special bonding and snuggles he gets with Moose -

 

WE LOVE YOU SAWYER!  

Words can't describe the joy you bring us.  Watching you and you and your brother together warms our hearts and fills us with joy.  Some days are long and some are hard - but all are worth it.  We are so lucky to have yet another amazingly special boy in our lives!
