I love these boys!

I hope their smiles always remain genuine.
I hope their eyes always dance when they laugh.
I hope they always keep a bit of innocence within them.
I hope their bond only grows stronger.
I hope they stay little just a little bit longer...

Thank You Jackson & Sawyer
For teaching us how to see the world all over again through fresh, beautiful eyes!

August 19 - Lacina/Ackerman Adventure

While Trev was on holidays, it allowed us to spend some time with the Lacinas while both dads were home (Trev and Chad work opposite shifts).  It is always nice when everyone can be together; afterall - it was Trev and Chad that started this friendship!

On this particular day, we thought we were maybe going to hit up the beach - but the weather didn't seem all that beach friendly, so Amy suggested Kraay Farms.  I was all for it as really the kids have fun doing pretty much anything together.  It wasn't just a fun day - it was AMAZING!  We had such a blast.  The kids LOVED it.  A few weeks back we had gone to Prairie Gardens just outside Edmonton.  This place blew Prairie Gardens out of the water, and was not that much further away.  It was so well kept.  Clean.  Fun.  Family friendly.  Staff were polite and helpful.  It was just much more put together.  I was very impressed and would go there three times over!

The bouncy pillow was so much fun.  I really wish I had one in my back yard!  We had both our families jumpin up a storm on this thing.  The only negative was that the excitement flew my sunglasses off my head and under Jackson resulting in them breaking!  Booooo!

I've wanted to try these a few times with Moose, but he always says no...but not this time - this time it was HIM who wanted to stick his head through!

This big barn with five or six different slides hooked up to it was a hit with all four of the kids!

This teeter totter was awesome!  We thought we'd put all four kids on, and I suggested putting Sawyer with Reece and Rielle with Moose to even up the weight discrepancy!
Rielle and Sawyer complained every time they got taken off, so they had a good little go of it on their own!

Can you hear what he's saying?!  'I'm the King of the Castle!'

All the kids liked these little houses.  There was a school, a prison, a chapel, and a house!
I never want to see this in 'real life'.
This carousel took the cake for the kids for the whole day...none of them wanted to get off.  It was pretty cool.  And Sawyer and Rielle were able to partake no problemo.  Some serious fun!  We were spinning and tickling and going slow, then fast.  There was one other older girl on the carousel at the same time and I think she was having as much fun as our kids!
This smile says it all.  He was one very unhappy camper when we too him off!  He was just so happy on it!
Amy then bought the two older kids a couple rocks for them to smash open to discover beautiful sparkling treasures.  It was pretty fun to see their looks of amazement to see what was inside the rocks!

After some rock smashing, we did some rubber duck races and then ordered some lunch at their stand.  They had loads of picnic tables, lots of hand sanitizer, high chairs.  Amazing!  You could even bring your own food and BBQ there!

After lunch we went on the tractor choo choo.  That's right...a tractor pulling trailer cars around the grounds of the farm.  Could Jackson be any more excited?!

Yes, there was a singing chicken show - and Rielle could have spent all day watching it!

And, a little something for the dads!

And...some good ol' fashion pig racing to round out our day!  Yup, you read right - pig racing!

You know, Kraay Farm is known for their corn field maze...and we didn't even set foot into it!  What a wonderful day at a wonderful place with some good ol' fashion fun.  No electronics or high tech gadgets - just some real outdoor family fun!

Afterwards we went back to Sylvan where we enjoyed some beers, bouncy house fun, and a delicious steak dinner.  Perfecto!
