Tractor Ride

Last night after we picked Trev up, got our car rental, and dropped off my car at the autobody shop - we made our way out to my mom and dads.  I had been listening to 'tractor ride' requests for far too many days - so we figured we'd go grab the mail, water the plant, and take Moose on a ride...or two.  The only problem with that - is the meltdown that always ensues when we tell him it's time to go and we have to say goodbye to his beloved tractor.  Oh well!

Celebrate

I wanted to make a special note that today is a special day :)

Today we celebrate two things...

We celebrate that 28 years ago my amazing husband was born!  How fantastic is that?!  I knew I loved him soon after we met...and it was never a question whether or not we were going to spend the rest of our lives together...we just knew we were.  He is so very special - kind, hardworking, sensitive, loving, family oriented, smart, and incredibly selfless.  When I saw him become a father, to our very beautiful sons, my heart fell in love all over again - and even deeper.  He is worth celebrating, and although we aren't together today - we will have a special treat when he comes home tomorrow! 

We also celebrate that one month ago today we were enjoying welcoming Sawyer into this world and into our family :)  We can't imagine life without him...and he has been a perfect addition to our world!  I can't believe it's been a month already.  Our little bear weighed in this morning at 12 lbs, 10 oz.  Woah!  He's not gonna be little bear for long...he's gonna be a big ol' bear before we know it!

Good night world!  

Oh, and guess what?!  We made it through our first week apart.  There were good moments and very tough moments...but tomorrow will be great :)

Yesterday morning in bed, while I was holding Sawyer, Jackson came and snuggled right up to him and placed his sweet little head on Sawyers and softly said 'cuddle cuddle cuddle'.  It brought tears to my eyes.  Thank GOD for the convenience of iPhone cameras so these small moments don't go uncaptured.  May the love Moose has for Lil Bear last forever...even when they hate each other ;)

 Life has done anything but slow down since Sawyer has arrived.  I remember when Moose was little I would be watching TV and cleaning house most days.  With the two boys - we work best when we are out and about doing stuff!  Moose keeps me going even when I'm tired!  We get along better when we aren't cooped up inside having power struggles about balancing going outside with staying inside.  Even a car ride does the trick!  I know he is stir crazy when he asks specifically...'car ride?'.  Then we get in the car and pushed his luck one step further 'tractor ride?' haha - sorry buddy - Mommy doesn't know how to drive the tractor...you have to wait for Papa to get home from California!

Park Adventure

Last night Auntie Caitlin and I decided it would be fun to take the boys to the park.  We grabbed some KFC (Caitlin said that's what she thinks of when she thinks of a picnic!) and went to a park out in Riverbend.  Well...within five minutes I was awfully close to packing the boys up and leaving.  There were five kids there who were older (still in elementary school)...and complete tools.  They were throwing a full can of something and I yelled at them to cut it out as it was bound to either explode or hit someone and there were little kids at the park now too...then they started throwing rocks at each others' heads and swearing.  I was getting more ticked off as I didn't want to let Jackson out there to play...try explaining that to a 2 year old.  THEN - they had a fight.  A real punching/kicking fight...which in the end turned out in our favor as they hurt each other and ended up tailing out of there in opposite directions before 'back up' showed up.  Can you believe that you can't even go to a damn park anymore?!  I was SO ANGRY.  They wouldn't listen to me at all.  They were completely disrespectful.  There were a few soccer games going on around...so within about 15 minutes more kids and parents were showing up and the two sets of kids were gone.  Idiots.

Anywhos...we stuck around and Moose got to play.  He LOVES anything to do with being outside or being adventurous.

Sawyer slept through it all :)
