We decided to convert Sawyer's crib over to a big boy bed. A few reasons; one was that we did it for Moose when he turned 2 and it seemed to be a good age, and the other was that we wanted him to get used to sleeping in a bed prior to holidays. I was anxious and nervous about this process and you know what, it has been fantastic. Not a problem yet. He stays in his bed. He seems to like it. It's been a solid few weeks of hitch-free transition!
During the process Sawyer was fairly concerned. He kept saying that it was 'broke' and we needed to 'help' fix it. Cute.
You all know how much we love our Mr. Moose - but I tell ya - I DO NOT LOVE what he did to his crib while he was teething. You kind of turn your cheek to how bad it was but once you strip away the bedding and disassemble, you notice that he really made a mess of it. Sawyer never spent much time chewing on his crib - it was more Jackson's thing...as you can see.
Bringing in some toys to make it feel like home!
A congratulations kiss from his big brother (I LOVE THEM!). |
And TA DA we have a big boy! |
I tried to sneak in to capture a photo before I went to bed...but it started to caues him to stir!
