Room Makeover

This is the tape out of the new couch!

The blue tape on the walls is where the top of the new couch will go to...I want to do a photo collage that spreads across the two walls that will draw your eye to the corner and out.  I'm always complaining that I don't have enough photos up and that I want to do a photo collage, so this will be soooo nice!

Having the room open to the windows makes a HUGE difference in both the size and the look!  Kia and Jackson have been loving having access to the windows, and I've been loving having the view and the daylight!

So Trevor and I have been talking for a while about a new couch in the bonus room!  We LOVE the old couch, but the shape eats up the window space and the fabric is and has taken a beating!  We wanted leather and something that didn't have an ottoman so we could keep the room nice and open as this is where Jackson spends a lot of time playing and where we play our Kinect and Wii - and watch our movies!  That being said, Ashley Furniture was having a HUGE sale this Saturday so we figured if we were serious, now was the time.  So we got this...

 Except instead of the couch part that you see above, we got two love seats with the wedge in between like you see below.  This fit better in the room and gave us two more cup holders and storage consoles, which is nice with little hands and big tails!

I'm super excited!  It is something that we've been wondering, thinking, and fantasizing about...and now we are doing it!  It's soooo comfy.  Now, we just wait (a month!).  I'm in awe of how much bigger it makes the room!  Yippee!
