Trevor and I were lucky to have gotten a package to stay at the Hotel MacDonald for a wedding gift last year, and even luckier to have gotten to use it! It was pretty amazing! The hotel is breathtaking, the food was top notch, and the dessert - delicious! The whole experience was great! The best part of it all was that we never ever would have treated ourselves to such a luxurious evening! Without this gift, we probably never would have had this experience! It was so much fun to eat a three course meal and have them explain what everything was (good thing, because I really wouldn't have known!) on our plate. We enjoyed visiting with each other, just the two of us. No baby to feed, no phone to answer, just us and some drinks and delicious food!
We also were spoiled with the lovely chocolates in our room as shown above as well as dessert chocolates (on top of our desserts!) brought to our table with candles and a 'happy anniversary' message. Pretty special.
Thanks to Greg and Tanis for the wonderful gift. So glad the hotel was gracious enough to extend the expiry on it so we could use it to celebrate this wonderful occasion!
