A Giggler Caught in Action!

It's hard to catch the little bug during a giggle...but they exist and they make me oh-so-happy!  He was giggling today and I finally caught it.  Ignore the poor camerman-ship and just focus on the happy boy!  Here's to many many more giggles!

A Whole New World!

Well, Jackson is truly changing every day now...at dinner tonight with my parents, he was able to sit up for a few seconds on his own...then an hour later when we got home, he was able to sit up for quite a while longer!  Finally, we grabbed the camera!  We actually have a couple videos of him sitting about, but I chose to post this one. So today we will mark as the day that Jackson really can sit up on his own for a bit!  So exciting.  Being on the edge of rolling and sitting, I'm sure that he will be into things very soon and then all our worlds will change!

I'm very sad my parents are leaving for a couple weeks...I feel like they are going to miss out on something!  Hopefully not, but at the rate he's going - - - who knows!

I am going to go enjoy some time with my husband.  It sucks that he leaves tomorrow.  The weeks he's gone seem so long, and then when we're all together again, they fly by.

P.S.  Sorry it is sideways!

The story of a boy...

So Jackson has been rolling over from his tummy to back since he was 8 weeks old!  We have been waiting for the rolls to start going the other way - and two days ago we were so very close!  So this video is the story of a little boy who ALMOST rolled over!  Any day now...I can feel it!

Family Walk

Tonight we went for a family walk and it was great.  We definitely don't do it enough!  We tried out Jackson's new teddy suit to keep him warm, it's thinner than a snowsuit, and just basically a warm one piece suit. It got a little chilly out, and he stayed toasty.  He had a nice nap...all snuggled into his stroller!  So cute!  Kia was pretty darn excited too.  She chased her tennis ball all around the lake and back.  Twice.

Chomp, Chomp, Chomp

Just thought I'd slide this quick photo in!  Mr. Moose couldn't stop chomping down on his nice cool teething ring last night...wonder if there is a surprise coming up or if he was just enjoying the feeling.  We will find out soon!

Swimming Lesson Number TWO!

Mommy said that last time it was a lot of work to get me dressed in the change room and that it would be so much easier to do at home!  So this time she dressed me a little crazy!  Swim attire, baby legs, hoodie, socks, I was warm...but not all that stylin'!!  This is my pre-swim nap!
We got there early, so I got to watch the really big kids swim!  Ah...one day!
Entering the nice warm swimming pool!
Singing the wheels on the bus.
Dad chose the BIGGEST hat in the bin...he should know my head isn't as big as his!!
Watching the bigger kids splash

Dad teaching me how to float!
Showing mom and dad something on the ceiling...pointing and wondering!!
Smiles all around!
Floating Up a Storm
So Tired!!!
Our second swimming lesson was a success!  It was nice to have Trevor there to participate!  We are going to take turns.  When he's home, he'll go in with the Little Man, and when I'm home, I will go in!  It's fun to see all the little guys.  There were two more babies, but still no one under six months except Mr. Jackson!

Double the SMILES - Double the FUN!

Jackson now smiles at himself in the mirror!  I know he doesn't know he's smiling at himself, but to have double the smiles is perfect nonetheless!

Door Painting Distractions!

How could I not be distracted by that smile!?
Toes officially touch!

He figured out how to push the music button!

Touchy, Feely!
Kia got her nose in right at the last minute!

I was TRYING to get the door prepped for painting, but I kept getting distracted by this little bug!!!  AND his big sister!

This is just one reason Fall is my favorite season!

This tree in our backyard is exactly why I LOVE FALL!  I think there is every color of leaf on this tree right now, and I love looking out the window at it.  It is perfect.   If only the leaves stayed on a little longer!

Second Round of Shots - Complete

Today Jackson got his four month immunizations and it sucked.  I hate hearing him cry!  Trevor stayed in the room with him while I waited in the waiting room...still heard him cry though.  I was able to give him his bottle and he cuddled in and fell asleep on top of me.  Mmmmmmm...I love him!  He had a pretty good day considering he had his immunizations this morning!

This was him sleeping when we got home...he was so very tired.

He weighed in at 17 pounds, 12 ounces!
He is now 25 inches tall!

He is my little moose and is sporting 6-12 month clothing now!

My New (almost finished) Pantry!

The Before Shots
 Jackson watching Daddy work away!
While Mommy worked on the door!
 And the Spice Tins!

Yup, I printed labels and put them in alphabetical order!
Clearly, we need to get one more rack and some more tins to cover up those old holes and to finish off the spices!
 I'm in LOVE!
I told Trevor I wanted to sleep in the pantry...
The bugger told me to go ahead!!!
The finished chalk board door and semi-finished spice racks!  I love it!

So for a long time now I've wanted these as my spice rack and wanted the door painted with chalk board paint for my recipes, grocery list, and note leaving!  Today, we finally did it!  It was magical!  I love love love it and can't wait for it to be finished!  Jackson was a great supervisor!  Both Trevor and I cook a lot and we enjoy our spices.  Let me tell you, it is a heck of a lot easier finding and measuring spices with these fantastic tins!  Right at our finger tips!  How fabulous!

Bet you're all jealous!?!  Okay, okay, I know it's just spices!!

Note to self---GET CHALK!!!
