Winter Wonderland FUN!

When Trevor was home last week, he couldn't wait to take Moose on a sleigh ride...so one afternoon, we got him bundled up and away they went!  First for a spin around the backyard so Mommy could take photos and then off to the park!  I think Moose loved it and I know Trev did!  I LOVED seeing him walk all marshmallow-like around the corner all bundled before they left!  SO CUTE!

He started clapping in the backyard!  So fun!

Blowing Mommy a kiss as she took photos right before they headed for the park!
That smile brightens up my day, always...no matter what!
Off they go!
Daddy's iphone photo...not too shabby!
Parking his ride to wander around!
'Check me out!'
Moose's snow angel!
Trev took a video or two - which I'll upload in a bit :)  In my world, lately, that means a day or so!  Hahaha...my goodness where is the time going!?

Monster Robe :)

While shopping for Moose last week (he had a growth spurt and all of a sudden I was seeing his belly when he wore shirts I JUST bought - bummer!) I found the cutest of cute bath robes!  Trev and I both wear bath robes...and I thought...why not!  At first, he wasn't sure about it - and now he waits for you to put it on!  After every shower in the morning, he wears his bath robe and watches a tooners in our bed while Trev gets ready!  He also often wants to wear it at night after his bath!  Its so darn cute on him...I think he should wear it everywhere!  hahaha.

I truly wish he could stay this size forever!  It's a magical age :)

My Boy is 18 Months Old!

How did that happen?!  How did a year and a half go by so darn quickly!?

I think it's because every day my life is filled with the most charismatic, fun-loving, goofy, social little boy!  He keeps me on my toes, has me laughing, and makes me appreciate the little things in life.  I am blessed, fortunate, and so very grateful that Moose was sent to ME!!

At 18 months, Jackson is a little boy!

- He attempts to engage people constantly!  He thrives on being social.  I am always amazed at how he attempts to make people laugh, include them, or - more recently - be affectionate with them -
- His vocabulary amazes me!  He has the basics...Dada, Mama, Papa, Hi, etc.  Lately he is picking up words more and more.  Car is his favorite.  Cold and Hot are popular too!  Lately it's been clothing like 'Socks'.  It's pretty amazing watching him pick up on new things!  I love listening to him practice his words in the car or in bed at night! -
- His imagination is developing and I love it!  He puts bowls on is head as hats, he gets on his hands and knees and rolls cars around making car noises.  He growls and roars when he sees monsters or dinosaurs!  He finds creative ways to play hockey...the other day he was using a candy cane prop as a hockey stick! -
- He is very routine in his day!  Predictable to the minute almost.  He naps once a day in the afternoon for 2 1/2 - 3 hrs and sleeps basically from 8-8 at night.  We are very blessed that he is so structured and try very hard to provide him with predictability! -
- He loves to be outside.  The cold has not bothered him at all yet. -
- He is very good at sharing and at helping.  He will constantly run things back and forth to people and if he sees Kia's bone or toy, he will pick it up and take it straight to her.  It melts my heart. -
- He is still not overly into watching TV much at all.  We watch a bit of cartoons in the morning before we go down for breakfast, but other than that - he'd rather be playing and reading! -
- Books are huge!  He loves his books.  He brings us books and backs his butt up to sit on your lap to listen to a story! -
- He still LOVES his music.  He will stop once in a while when he finds a good beat and do a little dance for us. -

I'm sure there's more!  But, I really could just keep going and going!  He amazes me every day!

For his 18 month photos...I did a little mini shoot!  He got a new, custom Oilers jersey and it's a very special one!  I had this epiphany one day that Messier's nickname was Moose too...so I got number 11 to honor him and Moose is written along the back.  It's so darn cute on him!

Checkin' out his stick!
Can't you just see this as his 'player photo' at the beginning of an Oilers game during their introductions!?  My favorite photo from this shoot by FAR!
He shoots - He scores!!  A celebration - not only for the goal but for Moose turning 18 months and for us being so darn lucky that he's in OUR lives!

Testing 1, 2, 3!

I'm always complaining that I can't upload pictures from my phone straight to blogger like Facebook allows. I'm not sure why, but today I finally had an epiphany - 'maybe there's an app for that!!?'. So I checked - and there was. What a glorious discovery. Here's to hoping this post works as I am typing it from my good ol' phone!

And it case it does work - I an attaching a photo of moosey all decked out in his winter gear before we departed for the hospital yesterday to see 'nana' before her surgery!

Meet Baby Boy #2 - Excited and Thrilled, makes my heart skip a beat!

As mentioned, Baby Boy was very uncooperative during our last ultrasound.  We didn't walk away with even one photo.  However, I'm lucky enough to have an ultrasound tech as one of my best friends who was more than happy to scan baby again!  He was more calm today - but still wouldn't show off his profile for us :(  Maybe on the 6th of December he will feel less shy!  Either way, June was able to get some special shots for us :)  Thanks Lady!

Turning himself AWAY from us...rotter!
Arms, legs, hands and feet!  Leg is the upper L, arm is the bottom!
The closest to a profile that he was going to give us!  I love that cute button nose!  It got me with Moose too :)
Arms!!!
The cutest little foot ever :)
He did keep his legs together - but we snuck a quick peak...

Even cooler than the pics above are the couple videos June included!  One of the heart fluttering away and the other of Mr. Mr. having the hiccups...which was so fun and cute to see never mind capture on video!!!

This ultrasound was also special because my dad came with us.  My mom was in surgery at the hospital across the street, and my dad and I were killing time together (isn't it horrible waiting for someone in surgery?!  It doesn't leave your mind!  You are constantly wondering how they're doing, etc.)  After lunch, he came to the ultrasound to help with Moose.  It was fun that he got to share the experience of seeing Baby Boy #2 live in action!

The Big Reveal!

I can't believe I've waited this long to do this post.  I can honestly say I don't know where the past week has gone...or month for that matter!  Can you believe we are half way through this pregnancy!?  Scares the crap out of me!  I'm so not prepared!  Not panicked!  Just taking it all one day at a time.  Enjoying every precious second with my Moose.  Watching him, sometimes I just sit back and think how lucky we are that the new babe gets him for an older brother!  I COULD NOT wait to find out what our little bean is.  We had an ultrasound last week and to say that it was uncooperative is a total understatement!  It wouldn't sit still long enough to get any pictures!  In fact, we had to reschedule another one for December 6 just so they could get the appropriate measurements!  However, we did find out the gender!  Trevor and I hurried home, put our sleepy Moose to bed, and got baking!  I couldn't wait to share the news with our friends and family in such a fun way!

It was a huge hit.  And most people were surprised at the reveal!  Not me though - it was exactly what I was hoping for :)

It was so much fun placing the pacifiers on top...people were more confused!
My dad was convinced he would see pink on the inside!  My mom got to the answer first but kept it hidden!
Jackson pointing out to Papa that he made a mess.  He pointed to every crumb until Papa picked them each up!
We left one for Auntie C so she wouldn't be the last to know!
I wish I got pictures of all my friends eating their way to the answer!  Some were at work, and others I totally didn't think to take my camera in for!  Kim was also convinced it was a girl and tried to badger the answer out of me the night before, so I was excited for this one as well.
Moose's big reveal!
How sweet a baby brother tastes!  These two boys are going to be so busy and fun!
Showing off the goods!
