Whale Watching Wash

Friday was supposed to be our big whale watching day but after we arrived to the coast, the weather was too poor to head out so we are going to be making another attempt next week.  Here's to hoping it's a success!  Because we drove the couple hours to the coast, we spent the morning playing on the beach.  However, because we gave the boys gravol at the car in preparation for the boat ride, both literally almost fell asleep at the lunch table.  So, away we went back home after we finished up.

This little crab was a huge excitement for Jackson to find.  I love how much he loves the little things in life!  There were quite a few critters crawling around!

Beach time.

Instead of smiling for a photo for me, they decided to show me how dirty their hands were...and then proceed to dirty them some more!

The water was cold, but didn't slow Moose down.

Bear warmed up to it too - which surprised me!

Then we went to see if we could walk on the pirate ships...but to our dismay, we couldn't.  They were reserved for field trips.  Trevor found out that the older grades get to sleep on the pirate ship on the water - how cool is that?!

A typical shot of the boys!  Getting both to look at the camera and smile together at the same time is damn near impossible!

We leave tomorrow morning for Disneyland :)  Both boys are in bed and excited.  Here's to hoping it is a great time (36 degrees on Wednesday - YIKES!).  I will fill you in upon our return!

Favorite Moment (so far)

This little video may end up being one of my most favorite memories from this trip!  Jackson wanted to do his own little commentary video as he does a dive.  He was just so funny.  We had no clue what he was babbling about on his way from the pool to the jumping spot - we all had to wait until we uploaded the movie!  It made us laugh and still makes me laugh when I watch it.  Anyone who knows Jackson will not help but smile as it totally captures his facial expressions!  He tripped over the chair on his way up and said 'woah - that was CrAzY!'.  That may be the best part!

Enjoy!

Pool Time Laughs

We remembered to bring our water camera, which is always a treat especially considering how much the boys are into the pool.  Jackson loves to jump in.  Sawyer finally just caught on to the whole idea of swimming.  Since the beginning he's been a floater.  Just hangs around in the water, even in swim lessons - nothing.  But, on day 2 of swimming a light bulb went off and he started to kick!  And the smiles started coming!  He caught on.  So much more fun now!

Jackson is all about the water and making up games.  He is enjoying letting his imagination grow and grow.  The contraption below is what he and his dada call the firetruck.  It was all fun and games spraying the rest of us...but then it backfired on Jackson!

And Sawyer starting to catch on...

My Lobster

Those people who didn't follow (or remember) the Friends series won't understand this reference; but I'm pretty sure Sawyer is Jackson's 'lobster'.  This morning I hear Jackson asking Sawyer while they were playing 'do you love me Sawyer?'.  Sawyer belted out his 'YES!'.  Jackson squealed in delight 'MAMA - SAWYER LOVES ME!!!'.  Ummmm, was there ever any doubt?! Sawyer's whole world revolves around 'my Moose' as he calls Jackson endearingly.

Red Neck Golfing

We tolkened this 'red neck golfing'!

They were half dressed!  They were confused and made their own rules!  Then they turned it pretty much into a game of hockey.  I think the only thing missing was a beer in their hands. 14 years from now these photos would look pretty different!  For now, I will enjoy the cuteness of 'red neck golfing'!

Swim Mania

Yup...every single day is a swim day!
