So Jackson has started off really enjoying Preschool! We are coming up on one month in already - WOW! I will be honest, I am a little concerned when October rolls around and he realizes that not every day of preschool will be about learning about TRACTORS!. You see, September's topic is all about Farming! Jackson has come home with colored combines, etc. I don't think he has quite realized that October will bring a new topic! I'm sure the friends at Preschool have won him over enough that he probably won't mind too much! He's such a social little boy. The other day we were walking to the car after I picked him up...he stopped...put his head up a little bit and hollered 'GOODBYE ALL MY FRIENDS!' - sheesh! Anyways, I disgress. This post is really about Friday, which was dress up as a cowboy or farmer day! I caught him checking his duds out in the mirror and it cracked me up!
MOOSEISMS
'Dada - I think babies are born in dreams'
'I think we should buy some more babies. Lots of them. Maybe around Sawyer's age!'
It's too early to discuss this whole baby thing with him, right?! Gosh - he has babies on his mind. We've tried to explain babies on a minimal level. He insists he wants a baby sister as he already has a baby brother. IF/WHEN we happen to decide on another baby, we really can't choose, so we try to even out the gender playing field! I'm certainly hoping his baby fever wears off soon! I think maybe I need to stop doing newborn shoots! Those darn cute babes apparently can make anyone want one - even a 3 year old boy! His buddy Blake is about to have a baby sister and his buddy Carter at Preschool too...I'm sure we'll hear about it when those two bundles make their arrival!
Speaking of Blake's baby sister...we were doing Vanessa's maternity photos out at the ravine on Thursday evening. Vanessa wanted some fabric draped over the body photos...we kept the boys busy long enough to properly drape and cover her body. After we took the photos, I held up the white fabric for Vanessa to dress again. The sun just happened to be shining. Jackson peeked up from his ipad movie and yells...
'Hey, you guys are making shadow puppets over there! That's pretty cool, huh?!'
That is innocence at its finest. Goodness that boy is just too much of a good thing sometimes!
One last one is that Jackson has picked up a saying, I'm assuming from Preschool...he uses it when one would typically say 'ah, crap' or something of the sort. His new saying is...
'Oh, chickenpox!'
