Dumpers & Diggers

Boxing Day was a day of relaxing and enjoying!  We even allowed Moose to play with his new diggers during breakfast.  Christmas evening he had so many gifts to open at my parents that he missed like half of the stuff he got...so Boxing Day was pretty much Christmas evening all over again!  These diggers were part of the loot that was missed the night before!  He loves these diggers...they all have buttons and lights and are the perfect size for his little hands!  At one point he was loading his berries into his front loader digger and dumping them in his mouth.  Can you say 'little boy'?!

This expression really sums it all up!!!

This whole moment was actually my favorite part of the day!  I could watch him learn and grow and play forever!  His imagination is expanding every day and he is so precious.

Christmas Morning Final Part

The last group of presents we opened Christmas morning was from Nana and Papa in Saskatchewan.  Amongst the loot, Moose scored a tool bench!

Thank you for the gifts :)

Christmas Morning Part 5

This post marks the end of OUR Christmas morning...we took a break to eat some more breakie and came back to open our presents from Saskatchewan...which will be up soon :)

Christmas Morning Part 4

As mentioned, Moose got a couple flashlights in his stocking...and they were a big hit!  It took him no time to figure out how to use them!  We all got flashlights in our stockings - so we shared and had a little light show on the ceiling when Moose discovered his!

Christmas Morning Part 3

Stockings!

Jackson got the hang of his stocking rather quickly!  It didn't take much time before he started fishing through there himself!  Some of his treasures included a book, a hockey rubber ducky and blow fish for the hot tub, a microphone to sing with Elmo, a water bottle, some cars, and a flashlight!

Christmas Morning Part 2

After a couple gifts I brought out some breakie :)  We always had the tradition growing up of fresh fruit with dips, etc.  That's the way we rolled this year!  Low maintenance, snack-ready, and delicious.

Moose started with a sneak attack from behind the table, but was gobbling it up in no time.  I think he liked this whole buffet at his level idea!  Can't say I blame him!  He always has to ask and wait...but here he could come and go and help himself!

I love his face in this photo.  Armed and loaded with his fork!

Christmas Morning Part 1

Trevor and I finally couldn't wait any longer and at about 9 we went and woke Moose up!  Trevor had ants in his pants and I was up pretty much all night anyways...and we were just waiting on the most important person!  MOOSE!

This year was magical.  We had such a wonderful few days and we feel so grateful for Jackson being in our lives!  He was so much fun and really enjoyed getting into everything this year.  The biggest obstacle was trying to get him re-focused on opening throughout it all!  He really just wanted to play with stuff!

We started with a couple presents...then on to food and stockings...and back to presents!

I LOVE this ridiculous face!
Two days before Christmas, Trev texts me from Chapters saying that he found the cutest book for Moose called "That's not my Tractor" and that he didn't know what to do because the line was so long!  The best part was, that book was already wrapped and sitting under our tree!  He doesn't remember stuff like that! It was the first present Moose opened!
The keyboard that goes with his Rockin' Elmo!

Gifts from my favorite Aunties

This past week we found some time to spend with Auntie Nicole and Auntie Caitlin to do some good ol' fashion gift exchanging!

He opened the crank of the flashlight before the rest of it - and was mighty happy spinning it not even knowing what it did yet!
Then he discovered that if you crank - the light appears!
I think this photo is cute...
His face tells me he's excited!  We have only put a few of these together...and it may stay that way until I figure out a storage option...maybe at Auntie Nicole's house?!  Lol
And then came the books!  Auntie Nicole has a knack for choosing some gooders.  These fall into that category!  One even choked me up a bit!  About a little penguin and a little boy (Lost and Found).  That's all I'll say!  I love that when he opens books, he gets excited every time!  He makes sure he sits and flips through it!

And then a couple days later, we got to do it all over again with Auntie C!  She came over Christmas Eve - - - and it was fabulous!

We can always count on Auntie to choose some awesome clothes for us!  I'm always excited to see what she's picked!  LOVE the shirts :)
Moose checking to make sure they'll fit!  And they do :)
Thank you again ladies, not only for the fantastic gifts - but for being such wonderful role models, loving aunties, and great friends to us!
