Beer Stacks & Uncle Stu!

Uncle Stu and his girlfriend, Courtney, were have a good ol' time drinking their beers!  In fact, each beer they had conquered was taped to the last to create a stack.  Jackson thought these stacks were pretty cool (I'm sure there's a real name for them, but it escapes me!).  They crinkled and the top one was full of beer, which sometimes offered some spillage!  Oh my child, he thinks that he should be allowed to drink beer freely!  I had to antique these photos because it just felt right!

Uncle Stu sharing his sunglasses!  Notice the cake on his lips - yummers!
Oh, my child!  Yes, he is LICKING the beer cans! Anything for a drop!

It was really great to visit with these two!

Cousins.

Jackson also got to see his cousins, who were there for the afternoon!  We haven't seen them in months, so it was nice for Jackson to get in some visit time in.

Trevor's cousin's little boy, Riley, is the sweetest, most sensitive little boy I've met in a long while.  He just melted my heart.  Every time he would hear someone crying he was right in there with a comforting shoulder pat or a hug.  Priceless!  You'll see what I mean below...

So cute!

Outdoors Boy

Jackson spent a lot of time outside in the past couple days!  Lots of sunscreen kept his ghostly skin just as white as it was before we left!  He played soccer, explored, visited, and shared his smile!  In fact, if I had a buck for every time someone commented about how happy or smiley he was, we'd have come home R-I-C-H!

I was not prepared for the heat or the lack of bugs.  I had packed thinking it would cool off and he could get eaten alive.  It did finally cool off, but not nearly as quick as I had imagined and the bugs were non-existent!  Outside of the MASSIVE dragonflies, there was nothing.  I'm not used to no mosquitoes!  It was fantastic!  We survived!

We were gone...

...and now we're back!

We went on a tiny mini road trip to Saskatchewan this weekend to spend some time with Trevor's side of the family.  We were gone for one night.  Five hours there, five hours back - and one (very restless) night in a so-called 'cabin'.  It was a lot of driving for a little visit!  But, Moose was a trooper and did WAAAAY better than I had expected (yes, I always expect the worst!).   The truth is, he didn't make one complaint on the way down there!  He was very playful and fun.  On the way home he was a little bit antsy before he pooped and napped for two hours!  In that order, and with a bum change in between!  He is so much fun!

Here's a few photos from our (only) pit stop on the way down!  We took a quick stretch break and fed Moose some food that we had brought along.  He was diggin the long grass 'dancing' in the wind!
 That smile is contagious!

Silly Giggles

LOVE THAT NOISE!

Montanas & Becky!

Yesterday we were lucky enough to see Becky for lunch!  She just got back from her (amazing) trip to visit family - which also included New York (and a Broadway Lion King performance - SO JEALOUS)!  Anyways...Montannas, I've learned, is a great place for kids to eat!  Aside from the obvious coloring on the table, there is the awesome food presentation!

The Moose drives the truck that the food comes in!  Perfect?  I think so! The hood even lifts to check out the engine!
Good thing Jackson knows how to share!
Missed his mouth!
Thanks for the visit - so glad you had a great trip!

I'm Awake!

Jackson woke up from his morning nap in a very playful mood!  He didn't want to come out of his crib - he was so into playing peek-a-boo and and other game we could think of (i.e. him throwing his toys out and me throwing them in).

I realize there's a horrible shadow in this photo - but couldn't resist his expression!  Then I stopped using my flash!
MY FAVORITE!

Dog Park!

Today we also went to the dog park for Kia!  So we were able to do both Jackson AND Kia's favorite thing today!  It was nice out, but I am so over these mosquitoes!  Argh (scratch scratch scratch!).

How nice is this path?!
Whatchyou Lookin At?!
So Cute
