The After Math...

I am fortunate to have had the help of Caitlin and Stephanie after the shower to get everything home!!  Yes, it took three vehicles!  The house was quite chaotic...the aftermath of the aftermath will be posted at a later date, but I assure you it is far cleaner and more organized!  Waking up to this task made me feel like going back to bed, but between Caitlin and my mom and I, we got 'er done!

Yup - chaos!  But, most definitely looks better now!  I look forward to taking some photos of the post-chaos situation!

Hope you all enjoyed the rainy day!  I know I did!  I love this weather, as does our grass and plants!

It feels good to be slightly caught up on here!  I will attempt to not let it go so long between posts!  Thanks to some of you naggers to give me the kick in the butt I needed!

Baby Shower...

The baby shower on Saturday was great...it was nice to be around so many wonderful women who are supportive and loving!  The time flew and I can't believe we are one step closer to the end of this pregnancy!  I remember when it felt like the shower was forever away!

The diaper cake...Congrats to Caitlin who won by guessing closest to the number of diapers!

Pre-gift opening!

Pretty balloons!

We played a nursery rhyme game as well...

The present opening commenced!

I knew my mom was excited and was anticipating some of the gifts from my parents, but this pack and play was a total surprise!  Very useful...we already have it set up!

The pile just grew!

Us playing with the Tickle Monster Book that Nicole found - probably the highlight of the shower - the cutest book ever!!

Still enjoying the story!

The now-empty hot seat!

Thank You to everyone again for a wonderful celebration!  It wouldn't have been the same without you all there!  Looking forward to you all meeting our little man this summer!

Finally...

We have been waiting for many weeks for our window treatments for the Bonus Room and Living Room to come in.  It was one set back after another...and we were beginning to get frustrated enough to tell them to forget it!  They were finally installed today!  It is nice to see them up...it's funny how much some fabric can complete a room...

Long Overdue...

So, I realize a blog post is LONG overdue...but life has been quite crazy not to mention that I'm so darn tired!  Below is a brief update of our crazy lives before I post pictures...

  • Time is flying...today we are entering our 34th week of pregnancy...and that's just crazy talk!  Things have been going well.  We see and feel our little man move around much more.  He has quite a personality.  My worst pregnancy symptom that has established itself over the past few weeks is finger numbness in my right hand.  Now, although this sounds minor - it is beyond frustrating and uncomfortable.  It occurs quite frequently, anything from working, to walking, or even being in the middle of eating cereal and all of a sudden I can't feel my hand!  Grrrr...it's been the most annoying symptom.  My body is definitely finding it harder to do things and I tire quickly.  Quality of sleep has decreased as getting comfortable seems impossible.  I am noticing more and more that I am not able to do things or fit places I used to!  You know you've gotten big when your belly hits everything before you do!
  • We are anxiously awaiting our new vehicle.  We are disappointed it is not here yet, but apparently, it is on its way on a train somewhere and should be here next week sometime (ya, right!).  In addition to this, my little cousin Caitlin is buying my Tito!  I'm thrilled because I still love my vehicle and I have no doubt that she will love it as much as me and take care of him!  I'm very excited for her too.  It is a big step for her and I'm proud and looking forward to that experience for her!
  • We had our baby shower this weekend!  It was really good.  I think it is safe to say our little guy was spoiled, as you will see in the photos!  It was nice to see everyone and to celebrate this new little life moving around inside of me.  The support and love is unconditional and I am so happy to have shared the day with so many wonderful people.
  • My dad and Trevor worked on the fence this weekend, and got a lot done!  Putting it up really has established our yard and has made it look much nicer!  It will be nice to see everything bloom, finish the fence, and design the deck!  We love being and entertaining outside so it's so exciting to see it all come together!  I think Trevor is antsy to get it done!
  • I am getting more and more excited to start maternity leave.  I was struggling with it, but the more we get prepared for baby and the more tired I get, the more I am looking forward to some time to myself!
  • My parents leave for Palm Springs tomorrow for two weeks and I am extremely jealous!  I am counting down the months until we can join them again!  It's crazy to think that we will be plus 1 when that happens!
  • Kia is great!  We love her...she's perfect!  I think she is starting to sense all the change!  She will be a great big sister!
Alright enough writing!...I will start to post some pics!

Excitement of the week...

So although I am sick and tired and grumpy...I decided to fill you in on our excitement.  After a long time of wondering, research, and decision making - we have purchased a new vehicle!  I am so freaking excited!  We have test drove a few...and then on Monday night spontaneously went in a different direction and loved it!  By Wednesday we had made the decision and the negotiation!  We are now anxiously anticipating its arrival!  We decided on a 2010 Mazda CX-7 GT!

I am so excited...we are waiting for it to come in from port.  There are few available with the options and color we have chosen!  We chose to go with Black Cherry Mica.  It changes color depending on light intensity, angle, and shadows.  It can look black, dark red, or even chocolate.  We knew we didn't want straight black again or white...and this color is more unique and we have yet to see one.  We were going to go with the dark grey, which is more common - but instead chose to go the more unique route...which is always something we are looking for!

We are also waiting for the one with the navigation...which for some reason is also hard to come by!  I have posted a photo below of the exterior and will post some of OURS when it comes in!

Trevor is trying to prepare me for trading in my car.  It is my baby and I still love him very much.  I get attached to things, what can I say!?  I think that I will be okay...but truth be told, I am mentally preparing myself!

As crazy as it probably sounds, I think I'm most excited to install the car seat in the new vehicle!  I don't know why, but it feels like that is one of the final things to do to be completely ready for this little guy's welcome!

In sparkling silver...

In Black Cherry Mica...
