Cousin Love

My cousin Caitlin emailed me a picture of us from her sister Jeannine's wedding. Jeannine was a beautiful bride, and Caitlin - a beautiful bridesmaid. She is adorably cute and has a heart of gold to boot! Thanks for the picture...hope you have a great time in Texas! And remember to watch out for those GIGANTIC bumble bees!

Playtime at the Park

Ball in mouth...ready to play!

Play with me Daddy!!

I'm coming, I'm coming!!

Smell, play - Smell, play!

Love the bridge, Kia or Horse? Both prance just the same!

Air!! Gotta add some excitement into this ball chasing!

Doesn't slow down for anything!

I love this dog! She is so great! We now have grass at the park by the house, so Kia had to break it in!

Trevor, Kia and I went for a walk last week...just across the street to the park. They layed some sod, so we tested it out! I think it works just fine! We had a lot of fun and she had a good snooze after! We miss you Trevor! We will see you soon...

Storm Watch

Last Saturday night there was a big storm that rolled through Edmonton. This picture doesn't even begin to capture the wildness of the sky! We were lucky where we were, the hail didn't find us, nor did a tornado! I was so scared! It was a good 'meet the neighbor' opportunity as we all went out to check out the craziness and the winds went wild. So we all started turning over signs and moving construction material as we were afraid of flying debris into out houses or cars. Lucky for all of us, it all turned out well!

Trevor and I watched from inside for a long time, and we had the camera ready to capture the lightening. Yeah right! We held it and held it, got tired and dropped it, then KABAM! Lightening!! So we raised the camera and waited, got tired, dropped it, and you guessed it - MORE LIGHTENING! Timing wasn't on our side that night, but I assure you the lightening was wild!

Water Water Everywhere!

Calm

Tornado!

Bubbles Bubbles

Call me crazy, but I see alittle boy facing right with his knee highs and ballcap!

Call me crazier...but I see the shadow of a face with a bullet of water going through it's head!

A while back I took some pictures with my new camera and my goal was to capture a drop of water crowning! Didn't happen, but I found some of the old photos that turned out pretty cool none the less! Water is so interesting...I am still wanting to attempt the crowning of a water drop! Soon I hope! In the mean time, enjoy these interesting shots...you can make your own interpretation, but I've shared mine! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Hot Nights in the City!!!

Running around after her dip in the river like a C-R-A-Z-Y woman! I could barely catch her with the camera!

Mid-shake! Yikes!

Alina in the water with the pooches...looking oh-so-happy!
Alina the dog-whisperer - - - or the treat holder, you decide!
Shakin' her sillies out!
Ahhhhh....coolness at last!
Testing the waters, watching others play!
An 'other' who was having sooo much fun!
Good swimmer!

Here's some photos of the crazy dog park experience! Alina and I went at about 9 pm last night and it was a great break from the heat...much cooler down by the river! I always enjoy this place...nothing beats the dog park!!! I think Kia would agree!

Fort Edmonton Park Flowers

So after our train ride, my dad and I roamed the park for a bit...it was nice and unique...a small gem in Edmonton that we tend to forget about! My favorite part is the people dressed up and playing different parts as though they were part of that time. It was really interesting. I would like to go back a day when we can spend more time! The above pictures turned out great and there are a few, like the red flower, that I just love! These flowers were in a garden behind an old house...and there were so many of them. Unfortunatly most of them had their day in the sun already, but I still loved some of these shots none the less!

CHOO CHOO

A couple weeks back I took my dad to Fort Edmonton Park where we had breakfast on the train car and learned about the history of the train coming to Edmonton. It was a good time and some really pretty pics came from it. We wish we could have stayed there all day, but life calls!
I will post some other photos from this outing in the next little bit...as of right now, I've had enough with this website and all the stress that comes with uploading pictures!

Zoo for TWO!

Greetings ALL!!! My oh my it has been a long time since I've posted. This is not due to a lack of effort for trying - as I've been trying to post pictures for over a week with no success from the website! But this morning I had a bit more luck! Time is counting down and our summer is close to being half over! For those of you who know me well, you know I'm totally okay with that!! Plus 30 weather isn't my style!

So a couple of weeks ago Trevor and I went to the zoo on a Tuesday evening for a 'course' called Photographing Animals. It was really awesome, and I don't think I would want to do the zoo any other way now! Basically we went in after hours with about 10 other people and got a personal tour of the zoo including the ability to go into some of the cages or having the animals brought out to us! It was a really unique experience that I loved! Below are just a few of my favorite photos from the evening! I especially loved Lucy the elephant...apparently we were the first people allowed in to see her...she was so awesome. If she were a kitten, she would have been purring with happiness - but - she's a huge elephant, so what did she do!? DANCE!!! She was so sweet doing her little happy elephant dance and posing for photos! LOVED IT!
