Well his closet is about as full as ours is! So many cute outfits! I love some of the sleepers he has...I joked that I'm going to dress him in pjs all the time!!!

Happy Mama's Day!!
It was a nice surprise to get some Mother's Day wishes from some family and some very nice friends! In fact, my brother and Lesley even popped by with a gift! I didn't think of myself as a mom just yet - so it was nice that others were able to point out the celebration for me! Lesley got me a photo wallet, a book, and my favorite - this giraffe! He is so sweet. He plays a lullaby as his head moves back and forth! Apparently, I fell in love with him in the states at Christmas - and totally forgot - but they didn't! They went back for him - and it was a complete surprise for me! Again, the thoughtfulness! It was exciting for them that I fell in love with the giraffe just as much the second time around! Haha...pregnancy brain makes everything so very fun!
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all those special mamas out there who may be reading this!
Kindness All Around
Well, there are some very special and thoughtful people that I am fortunate enough to have in my life!
Two of my near and dear coworkers (translate = friends) got me a couple very thoughtful gifts! It amazes me still how people put such sweet thought into gifts - it makes them that much more special!
Mel got me a couple very sweet books! The one titled Someday brought tears to my eyes! I love that she took two of her favorite children's books and chose to share them! Thank You Mel...for the books and so much more!
Once upon a time Becky and I saw these adorable pjs. They are called 'pint of pjs'! Just like ice cream! I fell in love with the cute little concept and Becky didn't forget! I love the little sprinkled hat!! SO CUTE!!
THANKS LADIES!
Terrific Turtle
So one of the very first things I wanted when we found out we were expecting was this awesome turtle! He displays the stars and moon on the ceiling and walls. It's so great! You can choose one of three different colors - blue, green, and amber - each having their own calming purpose - which is cool. I tried to take a photo of the other colors, but this is the only one that turned out and I got tired of trying! He really is so cool - and I'm so glad my mom found him! Often when you see something and get excited it ends up disappointing - but he sure didn't. On top of the color choice...you can also look for specific constellations of stars - - - SO COOL!
LOVE HIM!
I love how it looks with our big tree on the wall too!
When I was working on trying to get a picture, Kia laid right next to it - and was covered in blue stars herself!
These are a few of my favorite things!
Well, as we all know, we were spoiled at the shower...and there are oh so very many things that I want to point out that were special little treasures - and I will continue to do so over the next little bit - but for now - I will post what I can!
The funniest gift at the shower was this onesie from Nicole...We all joke (any worry) that the baby will have a big head like his father, so this was just too perfect!
This was one of the sweaters my grandma made...I love it - it's my favorite one that she did!
Okay, this book was a huge hit! As I was taking it out to take photos of it...Ms. Kia was in there in no time! She's gotta check everything out!
It's this complete little package - - - so CUTE!
Complete with tickle mittens to wear for story time!
The actual book itself is adorable too! Sweetest little story - I'm sure it will be a hit!
Kia - being a part of everything!
Updates Galore
Well, I know it's been far too long since I've updated this! Life has been a bit crazy! We have been busy...I will start by going back to last weekend!
Last Friday we got the call in the morning that the new vehicle came in! We were able to pick it up that weekend and I think we (okay...I!!) looked for any opportunity to drive somewhere! I LOVE IT. It's very exciting...but unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show yet...I promise that I will post some tomorrow! We have also installed the car seat, which is so exciting and crazy at the same time! Things are definitely coming together!
Trevor has finished staining the fence, and the yard has taken shape...he's itching to get started on the deck! Every time we bbq - he slips a comment in somewhere about how nice it will be to bbq on the deck or how he misses bbqing on a deck - - - all in time! For now, the garage will have to do! I know he's dreaming up his design and he and my dad talk about what he would like to do...so we will see what they create! I'm sure it will be fantastic! I'm looking forward to getting the gate up - that's what I'm 'dreaming' about!
We had our prenatal class last Saturday and to say it was disappointing is a complete understatement! It was borderline brutal! The instructor was not good by any means and the material was so very bland and basic. We did get to go on the tour, which was nice - so lets focus on that positive!
Trevor celebrated his birthday! The big 2-6! I made some homemade cupcakes with peanut butter icing (he had been saying how yummy they would be)...and they were delicious (made them from scratch btw! None of that from the box craziness!). He was spoiled. He got an iPod Touch and a gift card for some applications - which he has been hinting at for a while...so he has spent much of his time fiddling with his new toy!
We went shopping together on Monday night and picked out our little man's 'take home' outfit for the hospital...and as I'm writing this - I realize I didn't take photos...maybe we will just have to wait for the photos of the big day!!!
Anywhos...I will get on with some more interesting posts (well...ones with pictures - which I always find more interesting!)...

What the stars just may have in store...
So I know I have a gazillion updates to make to this blog; however, I just did this and thought I would share right away because it's on my mind!
So I was snooping on this other expectant mama's blog and she had this labour prediction thing...so I went to the website and answered all the questions...and this was Madame Zaritska's prediction for me...
The day you deliver, outside will be fair. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 14 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 9 pounds, 3 ounces, and will be 17 inches long. This child will have dark green eyes and a little patch of red hair.
She got the gender right, which is a good start! I wouldn't be surprised about the weight. The hair color made me giggle because it's something we talk about being a total possibility! I would totally be okay with a 14 hour labour (I say that now...but when I hear of the 20-30 hour labours...I think it seems reasonable!)! I guess we will soon see if any of the prediction is right! Just wanted to share!...We know that it's all capoohie, but who knows?!

Updating with Randomness
So, I thought I would update quickly...nothing overly exciting has happened...but I thought I would fill y'all in either way!
This weekend was pretty uneventful...the highlight was probably going out to lunch and a movie with Nicole to celebrate her birthday! We saw The Back-Up Plan, and I actually really really liked it. I was expecting to like it, but I think it was better than I thought. We laughed - a lot!
There were a couple trips to the dog park to tire the pooch out. It worked, in fact, it tired us both out!
I am not sleeping well and getting comfortable is a thing of the past...between my restless legs, numb hands, congestion, and plain uncomfortableness, I can't settle in at night. I can usually fall asleep after my 1 am pee, but my 4 am pee keeps me up for the rest of the night, which also sucks. I think the lack of sleep is contributing to my emotional exhaustion! I'm counting down the days left of work...I was really sad about leaving - but being so tired lately, I'm looking forward to the time off to rest. I just keep reminding myself that we are nearing the end!
Still no car. I don't want to talk about it - it makes me very angry (with the dumb dealership!). Looking forward to that phone call, whenever it will be.
I've decided to make an effort to post on the side of my blog a photo that I have taken that I love. I have all these photos that I love that just sit in a file on my computer, so I thought I would choose one every Sunday/Monday-ish and posting it on the side for the week. My actual goal is to take a new photo every week and post it there - but I'm going to give myself a couple weeks to settle into that!
Well, I'm enjoying sharing some pretzel sticks with Ms. Kia in bed right now as I watch Dancing with the Stars...here's to hoping for a restful night...every now and then I'm blessed with one of those!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekends...

The After Math...
I am fortunate to have had the help of Caitlin and Stephanie after the shower to get everything home!! Yes, it took three vehicles! The house was quite chaotic...the aftermath of the aftermath will be posted at a later date, but I assure you it is far cleaner and more organized! Waking up to this task made me feel like going back to bed, but between Caitlin and my mom and I, we got 'er done!
Yup - chaos! But, most definitely looks better now! I look forward to taking some photos of the post-chaos situation!
Hope you all enjoyed the rainy day! I know I did! I love this weather, as does our grass and plants!
It feels good to be slightly caught up on here! I will attempt to not let it go so long between posts! Thanks to some of you naggers to give me the kick in the butt I needed!
Baby Shower...
The baby shower on Saturday was great...it was nice to be around so many wonderful women who are supportive and loving! The time flew and I can't believe we are one step closer to the end of this pregnancy! I remember when it felt like the shower was forever away!
The diaper cake...Congrats to Caitlin who won by guessing closest to the number of diapers!
Pre-gift opening!
Pretty balloons!
We played a nursery rhyme game as well...
The present opening commenced!
One excited grandma-to-be!
The coolest book ever being passed around!
Booties made my the great-grandma-to-be...
A whale of a tub!!
Oh my Oh my...
I knew my mom was excited and was anticipating some of the gifts from my parents, but this pack and play was a total surprise! Very useful...we already have it set up!
The pile just grew!
Us playing with the Tickle Monster Book that Nicole found - probably the highlight of the shower - the cutest book ever!!
Still enjoying the story!
The now-empty hot seat!
Thank You to everyone again for a wonderful celebration! It wouldn't have been the same without you all there! Looking forward to you all meeting our little man this summer!
Finally...
We have been waiting for many weeks for our window treatments for the Bonus Room and Living Room to come in. It was one set back after another...and we were beginning to get frustrated enough to tell them to forget it! They were finally installed today! It is nice to see them up...it's funny how much some fabric can complete a room...
The Bonus Room...
The Living Room...
The sleepy dog...apparently watching others do work is EXHAUSTING!
