Tree Picture

I am going to try to remember to take this picture each year.

I love that it shows the difference a year can make.

Here is a flashback to 2012s!

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF 2013 CHRISTMAS

- Jackson bought his own gifts at the Festival of Trees for all of us and was so proud for us to see what he had gotten us! -
- Jackson loved tracking Santa on Christmas Eve which was fun -
- Jackson got his Rescue Bots from Santa and has slept with all of them ever since -
- Sawyer was able to open his own gifts and enjoy the fun more this year -
- Out of all the gifts the $3 rocket launcher has been the biggest hit -
- Sawyer loved his glow car that Jackson got him -
- Trevor got a dehydrator and has been trying out different things since -
- I got diamond earrings from Trev that were completely unnecessary but BEAUTIFUL -

Christmas Breakfast!

 I. LOVE. THEM.

Christmas Morning Part 3

The boys took some time to open their gifts.  Jackson was far more eager and interested than Sawyer, which is to be expected as Sawyer doesn't quite know all the excitement that Christmas is!  Still learning but all in all, he's starting to catch on to the magic!

And probably my personal favorite...

Christmas Morning Part 2

Opening gifts from Santa!

Jackson asked for the remaining Rescue Bots for Christmas and Sawyer wanted a Monster Truck, apparently!  Both were pretty excited with what Santa brought.

Christmas Morning Part 1

Trevor and I woke up early Christmas morning; and by early I mean about 2 hours before the boys did!  Maybe we were too excited to sleep!  Eventually the stinkers woke up and the excitement began!  They raced downstairs; Jackson slightly faster than Sawyer, who refused my help which sounds about right!  Before we got into presents we had to check if Santa's reindeer ate the food we left out - and they did!  Then we saw Santa ate his cookies - and he did!

And then Jackson noticed his big Heatwave on the mantel waiting for him and the fun began!

This shot is outta focus, but I love it anyway!

The Stockings Were Hung...

Yes, I'm behind!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year.  We were able to sit back and enjoy the boys and the day.  Christmas Eve was spent at my parents' house for our traditional visit.  Then it was home to put cookies out for Santa, reindeer food out for his hungry reindeer, Christmas jammies on, and tucked in bed before we heard Santa's Christmas bells!

Then, the house was quiet.  Glowing with Christmas magic.  What a wonderful time of year!

Weekend Christmas

This weekend we had Trevor's family here for Christmas.  Jackson and Sawyer very much enjoyed having their cousins around to play and make a mess with and they all played so well together.  Jackson had been talking for about two weeks about 'dad's brother uncle stu' coming, so I think I'd have to say that was the highlight for him!  Turkey was delicious and the kiddos enjoyed the gift opening!
