Snorkeling Adventures!

See the Sting Ray? He was cool!

We totally got caught up in this school of tiny fish! Kinda freaked me out!

Trevor the snorkeler!

It was hurricane season and daily we got a storm around the early afternoon! The day before this the storm was BAD and I was convinced we were doomed - when I saw this storm rolling in as we were snorkeling, I started to hope for the boat and land!

Our flippers!

The brain!

As the storm rolled in, so did this green GOOP!

Cool school of fish finding their way through the green goop!

The weirdest creature I've seen. He has wings, fins, and hands. Ubber interesting!

I think the fish know the green goop means a storm is rolling in!

Cool eel!

An Angel Fish!

Not sure what these were, but thought they'd look great in my house!

Pre-storm calmness!

The last adventure to post about from out Jamaican get-a-way! Our Snorkeling Adventure! Trevor and I really enjoyed the snorkeling. It was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of cool creatures! The guides, again, were quite entertaining! It was a lot of fun and I think next time we may get our own snorkeling stuff. This other couple had their own cool little kits that were tiny and compact but had everything they needed! I envied them as I placed the salty mouthpiece in and stuck my feet in the wet flippers!!!! All in all a great experience! It rained on us at the end but we got back to the shore before the better part of the storm hit! Phew!!

Tube Ride in the Rainforest!

The Trees were huge!

If you look you can see the zipliner! Another tour this place offered. Looked cool!

Bridge where we parked our tubes!

Rough Rapids. We would get told BOTTOMS UP when we had to lift our bums over rough water! We were warned we'd regret it later should we ignore this command!

Cool Tarzan-like vines.

Again, this bamboo is WILD!

Did I mention they made me get into the tube first?! I was so scared...Trevor was going to go first, but the guide yelled at him "Ladies First 'mon!". Darn it!

b
Trevor in the waterfall of youth! This is why we always get ID'd!!! ;)

Was a beautiful scenery and so relaxing!

Another waterfall that I found on our way to the Fountain of Youth!

Just around the river bend!

Cowabunga! We were too chicken to get out of our tubes to try this!

I think one of our FAVORITE adventures in Jamaica was our tube ride through the Rainforest. It was amazing. The water, however, was VERY brown and mucky but that was because they had so much rain the day before...I guess everything just gets swept into the stream of things! Trevor and I had a hoot! We were the only Canadians (shocker!) and we were with some great people! A couple girls from England who were oh so sweet and then some folk from Scotland who were a hoot!

The guide was probably the best part! He was incredibly clever and witty. He would use innuendos when talking to each of us that related to our country. He was very funny and involved everyone a great deal! I can't remember his name, which is a shame...but I do remember him vividly!

We got to tie our tubes up and venture off into the rainforest to this beautiful waterfall...where you had the choice to dunk yourself in it! I wasn't brave enough, but Trevor was - as the picture above shows! It was C-O-L-D water! I went as far as the waterfall, but not in! Someone had to take the pictures! ;)

It was a bit disappointing that we couldn't take our good camera on this trip as it would have produced some great photos...we took our little one in its water case and found that it was covered in sunscreen, which interfered with some of the photos...but still great memories non the less!!!

Fun Perks of the Hotel

The oh-so-lonely volleyball net!
This is the boat we took to go snorkeling!
Our cautionary sign!
Oh what a life.
The cool sailboats we DIDN'T go on!
Ah - beach massage! Glorious!
Kayaks!
I love this shot of the hammok!
We hung out in this hammok numerous times, however, the red ants liked to hang out there too...ick!
The bistro...ah cheese fries and chicken wings!
Cool little bikes that looked like far too much work!
Our beloved air conditioner! Oh what a beautiful thing!
Our room number! I forgot daily! At dinner I would give the room number and Trevor would go behind me and give the RIGHT room number! What a good man! haha

Parasailing FUN!

Parasailing was one of Trevor's FAVORITE memories of our trip to Jamaica. It was his first time up in the sky and I'm so happy and lucky that I got to experience that joy with him! It was so peaceful and fun - I'm sure we would have stayed up there all day if we could have!

Beautiful Koi!

There was a pond area at the resort that was loaded with Koi Fish! Big ones, small ones, orange ones, black ones! You name it! When Trevor came up to the pond on this day, they thought he was there to feed them (poor foolish souls!) - I love the two shots at the bottom here where some of the fish have their mouths wide open (if you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see them better!). They were such beautiful fish! Colorful and friendly!

Favorite Red Flowers!

Now these are definitly some of my favorite photos from the trip. We all know I like my red, so when I found these red flowers, I couldn't get enough! I love some of these photos, so if anyone has an opinion as to a favorite - please let me know! I'm looking at blowing one of them up onto a canvas for the house! Just couldn't decide!
