Sunflowers :)

I have some catching up to do...but all in time!

A couple days before Sawyer was born, we planted some sunflower seeds with Moose so we could watch them grow and then plant them in the yard once the weather smartens up :)

I love me some sunflowers and it was nice to have Moose involved and he can see them grow too!  It was fun...

The Prep!
The Helper!
Then we had to poke holes in the pods for seeds!
Read the directions ;)
Finito!
And then this is the face of a boy who puts dirt in his mouth!...

And this is what our sunflowers looked like yesterday :)

Brothers Alike

We took an iPhone pic of Sawyer today and it reminded me A LOT of a pic I had taken a long time ago from my old cell phone of Moosey - so I went searching...and sure enough...it brought me to tears.  I love these two boys soooooo much my heart literally aches for them!  The one of Moose was taken when he was 10 days old and the one of Sawyer when he was 9 days old.

Sawyer is on the left and Moosey is on the right!  Had we caught Sawyer in a less milk-induced-comatose - I think the pics would have pretty much been bang on!  I'm surprised that Moose's cheeks still out-chub Sawyers!  How is that possible?!  I love it when stuff like that happens by chance...

Family Walk

Last night we went on our first family walk :)  It was nice to get out and enjoy some Spring weather!  Kia was a nut case zipping around...and Moose was loving every second of watching her do so!

Jackson often insisted on pushing Sawyer in the 'car'...I don't see this going away anytime soon!

A boy and his new tractor

Jackson got a little tractor in his Easter basket from his great grandma and grandpa - and there seems to be an attachment that has grown between the two!  He went to the bath with it, it slept with him, and followed him to our bed the next morning to watch tooners!

This picture caught me by surprise because he looks SO BIG!

What did we do before iPhones?!

We had some great people, like Caitlin, Kim and Nicole, who really pitched in and helped out during the hospital duration!  Thank you both so much for watching Moose both during delivery and later in the evening during bedtime so Trevor and I could have some time together at the hospital!  That gift was priceless!  While we were apart at times, we held each other over with pictures!  What did we do before the convenience of iPhones?!  It makes inclusion so much easier!  I clearly took more pics than Trevor!  But in fairness, he was the one who had to cart Moose back and forth and do the leg work!

Here's a small peak inside our phones over those first three days :)

Hiccups

My first night with Sawyer in the hospital was full of a variety of excitement...mostly nurses in and out...and feedings...and all that fun hospital hallway noise!  However, there were little quiet moments that him and I shared...snuggles, snoozes, and my favorite - hiccups!

He sounded like a lil dog squeak toy!  SOOOO CUTE!  I had to record it and send it to Trev...and now, I share it with you :)

Priceless.

Sweet baby cuddles and sweet baby toes!

Priceless :)

Cheese!

Jackson got a camera from Sawyer in the hospital when they first met!  He loves cameras - I swear I have nothing to do with that ;)

We caught him doing this while Sawyer was sleeping...melts my heart!

Joy

We opted to come home from the hospital on Wednesday instead of Thursday for many reasons, one being the gigantic snow storm that was forcasted to hit us Wednesday night!  And hit us it did!  If one person loved it - it was MOOSE!  He just loves being outside...and being adventurous...and getting dirty!  It really doesn't matter how cold it is - he is a happy camper!

The smile and joy on his face makes you numb to the cold as well!  It is just so much fun to see how happy he is being out there!  I have a feeling this summer is going to be full of outdoor adventures!

Inseperable!

Jackson's reaction to Sawyer is WAY different than I had expected.  I had expected him to be indifferent and go about his day like Sayer didn't really exist BUT he LOVES him.  He hunts him down...calls for him...takes him things...tries to help...and constantly tells him 'Up' or us to 'Help Sawyer' as he points to his lap!  He wants to show people Sawyer.  He is sooooo sweet - it absolutely melts my heart!  I am assuming there will be some jealousy soon - but for now, I will bask in the joy that is brothers!  His favorite thing to do with Sawyer is label his body parts as he gently points to the eyes, nose, mouth, etc.

Priceless!

These were a few quick photos Trevor snapped of Moosey holding Sawyer for the first time here at home.  He crawled up on the couch, pointed at his lap and said "DOWN"!!

MOUTH
NOSE
I LOVED the smile he flashed me here as I was sitting next to him!  Melts.My.Heart!

Welcome Home Quick Pics

When Sawyer came home, we had to snap some photos of his arrival!  We also had the video camera all set and ready to capture Kia's reaction like we did when we brought Moose home...but - to our great disappointment...she ran right by him and couldn't care less!  So Funny.  How times change!

I wish Sawyer's head was straight on in the below photo...would have been better - but oh well!  Moosey is on the left Bubba Bear is on the right!

Moose is more orange, and he has more hair!  In our heads he was still bigger - but this shows that Sawyer really does have some meat on him ;)

Sweet Moments in Time

These are the moments!!!
