So Close Sawyer

Sawyer is SO CLOSE to rolling from his back to belly...I just know I'm gonna turn around one day and he'll have done it and I'll be cheesed off that all this time of me stalking him - he chooses when we aren't looking!  He's ubber close so we are keeping an eye on him...it's nice to catch those milestones when you can!  It's harder with two - but I'm determined!  This little boy has magic in his eyes.  I have no idea what it is or what makes them so sweet and gentle, but there is something about the way he looks at you that is just so innocent and it screams magic.  He is a giggler.  A smiler.  Our happy little boy!

SO stinkin close!!!  GO SAWYER GO!

The Lake Part 7

We then crossed the road to what they called a petting zoo...it wasn't so much a petting zoo as it was an opportunity to feed the animals...which ended up being so much cooler!  Jackson was a bit hesitant at first, but really really enjoyed feeding the creatures!  They had little quarter dispensers there and I had to go break my last loonie to get some quarters for Mr. Moose!

It really truly was a great time!  Outside of about a 15 minute (which felt like two hours) time frame where Sawyer gave me a hard time going down before taking a nap...the boys did AMAZING on both the long drive and at the beach.  I am so proud of them and we had such a great time.  The only thing missing was Dada...and he was INCREDIBLY missed...and we are still missing him.

Before we even got out onto the highway from the campground, this was Jackson...

I think he had a great time!  And I love the droplet of drool in this photo!

Thanks Mel for the invite...we can't wait to do it again :)

The Lake Part 6

We passed this park on the way into the camp ground, and had to make a stop before we left.  It was fun to see Moosey explore...he sure is getting more adventurous!  LOVE HIM!  One of the dads at the park commented on how fantastic his 'Seriously Handsome' shirt was!

The Lake Part 5

I had to take some beach shots of the boys!  They aren't everything I had hoped for...but given the fact that it was at the end of our beach stay and we were trying to stay out of the sun...I was limited...but I love them nonetheless - I mean, really, how can you NOT love those two sweet faces!  Jackson was all about holding Sawyer, which is strange because lately at home he's had a short time span before announcing that he's 'done'.  It was nice!

The Lake Part 4

Jackson played a tiny bit of football with Ken and Mel!

This was our set up!  SO GLAD I ran to Walmart to grab that umbrella and a folding chair...all summer stuff on clearance because back to school stuff is out!  Woot Woot!

Sawyer's napping feet!

The Lake Part 3

I bought this crocodile last minute at Walmart for $2.97....well worth every penny!  At one point Jackson was out with Mel and Caitlin (without his crocodile) and he wanted to go further and his aunties said NO - too deep...and he pointed at his chest and said "crocodile"...so Mel came to get it...and they went deeper!  He loved this floatie - I was pleasantly surprised!

The Lake Part 2

Apparently they have a rule on the beach that you can drink alcohol as long as it's not in alcoholic containers!  SO...that meant Mel was drinking beer from a brown paper bag and her friend was drinking wine from a sippy straw cup - HILARIOUS!

We had to have ice cream from the ice cream shop! ESPECIALLY when we discovered the had cotton candy - my all time favourite - and a rarity to find!

And a great big ice cream kiss for Auntie Caitlin!
