Christmas at my Parents

After we had our big family Christmas morning and Sawyer had a nice nap, we went to my parents for Christmas dinner and some presents.  It was nice, both boys even took their afternoon nap there!  Neither naps were nearly long enough to recover from the Christmas exhaustion, but it was better than nothing!  It was a nice quiet afternoon and evening.

After we got home that night and put the boys down, I got bit by the flu bug quickly and hard.  I was up all night so sick...and out of commission the next day.  Apparently there's plenty of powerful bugs going around this season - YUCK.  I am grateful it hit me that night rather than the morning and I could enjoy Christmas with the boys - and I'm also really grateful that so far (knock on wood) the boys haven't gotten it!

xox I hope all your Christmases were as wonderful and magical as ours xox

Christmas Morning

Here is a summary of our Christmas morning.   I love those two boys together, they are just so darn special!  It was a really fun year with Jackson being able to understand the whole concept of Christmas.  It made it all that much more magical!

Inspecting the cookie plate and empty milk glass!
Jackson gave Sawyer the butterfly that Santa left for him!

Jackson was really excited about his hockey stick!

It was all around a great morning :)  I am so grateful Trevor was with us!

Christmas Morning Magic

A little bit of Christmas Magic from Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve

Me:  I think we need to learn a new Christmas song.  We know Jingle Bells and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  Time for a third.

Jackson:  Ok

Me:  'I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus underneath the...'

Jackson: NO MOMMY!  I tell Dada.

Trevor and I laughed so hard!  Good to know he has some morals at such a young age!  He makes every day brighter!

'Twas the Night before Christmas

And all through the house, a little creature was stirring to put out some Christmas Cookies and Milk for Mr. Santa Claus!

After the littles were tucked into bed, Santa Claus came and dropped off our treats.

Jackson never strayed from his request of Santa this year.  He was very clear!  He asked for a monster truck for himself and a butterfly for Sawyer.  I smell a setup for his little brother haha.  Poor Sawyer is too little to clarify!

Happy Holidays Everyone!  We had such an amazing Christmas this year!  I got the greatest gift of having Trevor come home Monday evening.  He was supposed to work until Thursday and has known since June that he Christmas off, but had kept it a secret until the last minute!  It was the best surprise I could have imagined!  Makes you believe in the magic of the holiday season :)
