Post-Breakfast Activity!

Jackson is a busy body!  His favorite thing to do?...Explore of course!  Why bother crawling around if I can't get in to trouble?!

After breakfast we let him loose in the kitchen - his favorite place to explore!  I'm actually in love with these photos!  I want to start doing 'Lifestyle' shoots for people and they would be similar to this...only with more parent pictures!  Although more formal photo shoots are nice, I think that photo shoots should also capture the family doing its day to day activities...like...unloading the dishwasher!

Who knew a wooden spoon could be soooo much fun?!

I love this photo!
And this one too - I think it's the reflection in the dishwasher that I like!
Soooo cute...showing off his teeth!  I still sometimes can't believe he has teeth!
ROAR!

And then he found the cupboard!...
He found my juice jug...
My bbq brush...
And my mixer jug!
I love that he just sits on his knees and explores!  What a little boy!
On a side note...these are hands-down my favorite pjs.  I am so sad that he has almost grown out of them.  I found them at Target when we were there over Christmas - and I was a FOOL not to get them in the bigger sizes.  I may have to do some internet searching because I don't want to see these ones gone in the bin forever!

First of many...

This handsome devil had his first owie yesterday - complete with blood!

He was walking with his wagon walker and fell on his bum (which is nothing new - bum falls are a frequenter in this house now that he pulls himself up on things!).  But this time, he must have bit funny in his mouth because somewhere in there he cut himself with his little knives we call teeth.  He is okay, but wasn't so impressed when it happened.  He woke up from his nap and there was blood on his crib sheet.  When he would suck his straw cup or bottle it would re-activate the bleeding, so it was a rough day in the eats department too!  So sad!

But, little bodies heal fast and today there is no sign of the injury.  He's back to his adventurous self, and we live and learn.  I think he's still getting used to those little teethers!

15 minutes in the life of Jackson...

So while we were cleaning up from lunch, we put moose on the floor...the photos start by capturing the way the next 15 minutes went down in our kitchen!  I could probably follow him all day with a camera - he is so much more inquisitive and adventurous!

I came to investigate the ruckus in the corner and found this...
...Then the hole became just as interesting!
Then it was off to the window...
Back to the hole...
Back to the window...even though his foot was caught!
Then Kia's paw towel was of interest!
Meanwhile, we put the register cover back on...which apparently was NOT how it is meant to be!
Back to the window...
So cute!
Again...this is NOT supposed to be here!
Then he discovered that the blinds make noise...
And when we raised them and tucked the cord...he discovered the window handle...
Then it was off to explore the baby gate and to see where daddy kept going...

Yup - - - all in about 15 minutes!  He is curious, mobile, and persistent!

And I love him!
