Jackson is 8 months old!
It's true, as of the 21st - Jackson is 8 months old. I am just a bit behind on this post! I've been procrastinating setting up some photos to take of him - but this morning - we did it! So lets talk a bit about what Jackson has been up to...and then we will get to the rest of the photos! (yes, I had troubles choosing!).
- Jackson has one bottom tooth, and one of his top teeth is starting to poke through!
- He spends MUCH of his belly time practicing his crawl position. He crawls backwards - and he has the rocking down - but no forward movement yet.
- He loves music! Whether it's music in the background or us singing, he stops to pay attention!
- He is doing his second round of swimming lessons, and has improved soooo much! He now is okay with fully being dunked in the water!
- He weighs 22 lbs 11 oz.
- His wardrobe is dwindling because he has grown out of his 6 - 12 month clothes and is pretty much fully into 12 - 18 month clothes.
- He makes more noises and we often refer to him as 'monster'.
- We feed him much more foods and he is starting to eat a mushier version of what we're eating!
- He LOVES Kia and as soon as he sees her he opens his mouth and waves his arms awaiting his kiss!
- He plays alone with his toys for extended periods of time!
- He says 'mama' and 'dada' and I swear he says 'Thank You' in his own way at just the right time a thank you is due!
- He naps twice a day - once in the morning, once in the early afternoon.
- He was sleeping through the night, but is now back to one feed. We are hoping it's a growth spurt!
- He has gone to Disneyland and rode his first ride!
- He smiles. A LOT. He giggles. It's PRICELESS. He is bright and shiny!
- He loves to stand. He loves to jump (and tries to turn everyone into his Jolly Jumper!)
He was super happy and photographing him today was a real treat! I think in less than 10 minutes I had 153 photos to fish through! And I struggled to weed out any!...but I did...however, I will share more of the ones that made the cut!
And just when you thought that was it....no way - there's more!
Like I said - LOVES to stand!
and last but not least!...
Well, that's where I will leave it! I think I was pretty generous!
Trevor went to Home Depot and got me some stuff that he thought would work well for photo backdrops - so we tested it out - and I'm pretty happy with the results!!! That, and my model is freaking adorable!
Happy 8 Months, Baby Boy! We love you so much and although we are so proud of you - we are sad to see you growing so fast! We wish we could bottle every single moment up and save it forever!
